The popular all terrain vehicle, whilst once a revolutionary power unit, is now commonplace on many farms, 
studs and private estates, and is widely used by contractors in agriculture, forestry, amenity and many other 
sectors.

An ATV is an extremely versatile unit which can be utilised for many tasks including: hauling materials, grass cutting, 
sweeping, spraying, slug pelleting, seeding and many other applications. Its size, weight and low centre of gravity gives 
it many advantages over a tractor when working on steep slopes, confined areas and soft ground etc.

The WESSEX AR Series Rotary Mowers are the first choice for paddock topping 
and maintaining regularly mown grass areas, as the work rates are higher, and 
the maintenance cost lower than that of a flail machine.

Available in 1.2m, 1.5m and 1.8m working widths, and with a variety of engine 
sizes, the AR Series rotaries are robust and durable machines ideally suited 
to private estates, farms, and studs.

Standard machines are fitted with side mounted wheels, which allow ground 
contours to be followed accurately without scalping. However, if a machine is 
required to mow close to borders and fences etc, the optional rear wheel 
configuration is available on the 1.2m and 1.5m models only. With wheels 
behind the machine, the weight on the ball hitch is greatly increased, therefore
when using a rear wheeled machine, the towing vehicle must have adequate
weight capacity on the draw bar.

If the towing vehicle has inadequate drawbar capacity, the third wheel option
is available. The entire weight of the machine is now on its own wheels and 
the drawbar is floating.

Control difficult areas with your ATV and 
Wessex AF flail mowers!

For heavier applications, ie brambles, bracken, reeds, heather and long grass
etc, a flail mower is recommended as a flail will not only cut the material, but 
it will also thoroughly pulverize it before discharging it evenly across the full 
width of the machine.         

The WESSEX AF Series, in 1.2m and 1.6m working widths are undoubtedly
one of the most robust and durable range of self-powered flail mowers on the 
UK market. Featuring a 5mm steel plate deck, a rear roller, 3 drive belts, a 
manual engagement clutch and the option of a 13hp Honda, or a 16hp or 
18hp Briggs & Stratton v-twin engine, the AF Series are specially designed 
to suit the most demanding applications.

There is also a variety of wheel configurations. All models are fitted with side 
wheels as standard. If required to mow close to fences etc, rear  wheels can 
be fitted so the wheels are within the width of the machine. This greatly 
increases the weight on the drawbar, and the towing vehicle must have 
adequate drawbar capacity. This option is only available on the 1.2m model.

The WESSEX AFC range of flail mowers have the engine centrally located on 
the deck, for maximum stability when working on steep slopes.

Although designed primarily for use with ATV's, the ATC120 self-powered 
sweeper can be used behind a garden tractor, utility vehicle, 4x4, or most 
vehicles fitted with a 50mm ball hitch. It is ideal for collecting grass 
clippings, autumn leaves and other debris from turf or hard surfaces. Four 
banks of hard wearing polypropylene bristles will lift the material into the 
hopper, and the brush height is set by adjusting the front castoring wheels 
by means of a simple screw handle.         

When full, the hopper is rolled over by means of a hand operated winch 
to give a clean discharge on the ground.

The ATX120 self-powered paddock cleaner is the ideal machine for studs,
stables, and equestrian centres. Four banks of bristles similar in design
to the ATC but more heavy-duty, will not only collect horse droppings, 
leaves and other debris from the paddock but the grass itself will benefit 
from the regular grooming action of the bristles. This will stimulate new 
growth of fresh, healthy grass, a benefit not gained from a vacuum 
machine. A row of sprung steel tines rake through the grass to loosen 
stubborn manure to aid collection.

The APT spraying system is ideally suited to the amenity and agricultural sectors, and has a specially designed tank to allow increased capacity without comprising the stability of the ATV. The 75 litre 'single leg' wrap-around style tank will fit any ATV, and it ensures that any liquid will always run to the lowest point to ensure that the centre of gravity is always low, and that the entire contents ofthe tank can always be emptied with ease.
